Miniatures
Andreas Brantelid - Cello & Søren Rastogi - Piano
Release February 12, 2027
Recorded with pianist Søren Rastogi, this curated collection features lyrical gems that have accompanied Brantelid since childhood, reimagining several violin works through the cello’s warm, expressive voice.
The release aligns with significant milestones: in 2027, Brantelid celebrates both his 40th birthday and 25 years on international concert stages. This celebratory period follows his 2025 appointment as Professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and a 10-year loan extension of the 1707 “Boni-Hegar” Stradivarius cello by Christen Sveaas.
Miniatures represents the beginning of a reflective new chapter. As Brantelid looks to the coming decade, international concert performance remains central, alongside teaching and a commitment to recording the music closest to his heart. This album offers listeners an intimate, emotionally direct invitation into his musical world.
