Marie Macleod

Cello

Marie Macleod is principal cellist of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and enjoys a varied career as chamber musician, soloist and teacher.

She is a member of the New Zetterqvist Quartet, the Lendvai String Trio and the Aronowitz Ensemble, and performs at leading festivals and concert halls throughout Europe. She has also collaborated for many years with Swedish pianist Martin Sturfält. Marie studied with Louise Hopkins at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Steven Isserlis at IMS Prussia Cove, Frans Helmerson in Cologne and David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London.
