Rastko Roknic

Viola

Rastko Roknic studied viola in Belgrade and Oslo and Baroque viola in Odense. As a freelance musician, he has played in many of Scandinavia's early music ensembles and worked with internationally renowned artists.

So far, Rastko has performed across Europe, as well as in Egypt, Israel, Turkey and the USA. His playing can be heard on some 30 CDs with different groups, including the award-winning Roman: Golovinmusiken (with Höör Barock, 2019, Swedish Grammis) and Muffat: Armonico tributo (with Concerto Copenhagen, 2022, Diapason d’Or). Rastko plays a Baroque viola by Jan Pawlikowski (2002) with bows by Antonino Airenti.
