Update on 4 new releases.

In June, OUR Recordings released two very different albums. One is *Satie Surprises*, featuring lesser-known works by Erik Satie, performed by pianist Christina Bjørkøe. With this release, we mark the 100th anniversary of Erik Satie’s death on July 1st, 1925. The second album, titled "ON A GROUND", features Michala Petri and the wonderful Japanese baroque harpist Marie Nishiyama. Most of the music on this album is based on the old compositional principle of a repeated chord progression or bass line that runs throughout the piece.
We have completed two very exciting new albums. The brilliant Danish guitarist Niklas Johansen, winner of eight international guitar competitions, has recorded the most extensive work ever written for solo guitar, "Platero y Yo", by composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. This wonderful piece, an Andalusian elegy, is based on 28 essays by the Nobel Prize-winning author Juan Ramón Jiménez, and has a total playing time of 1 hour and 49 minutes. The music was recorded in the fabulous acoustics of Fredensborg Palace Chapel, with special permission from His Majesty King Frederik X. The Danish award-winning artist Halfdan Pisket has created 28 unique drawings , including the album cover. Producer Preben Iwan, Mette Due and Lars Hannibal. Release is scheduled to primo October.
The second album features music by the two Russian composers Dmitri Smirnov (1948–2020) and Elena Firsova (b. 1950), whose works were banned under the Soviet regime, leading them to relocate to England. This is truly top-shelf music, performed superbly by the Rudersdal Chamber Players. As reviewer Raymond Tuttle from Fanfare writes:
"I do not expect to hear better performances of these four works, and this CD is treasurable for that reason, as well as for the quality of the music, and for what the music asks of us and the performers." Producer Mette Due. The release is scheduled to medio September
