Verbier Festival & Academy 2005
Again this year Michala was invited to participate in the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. She spend almost 2 weeks there and did 3 concerts in different connections. For the first time she played Mozart Quartet for flute and strings in D major K 285, with Janine Jansen, violin, Julian Rachlin, viola and Ralph Kirshbaum, cello.
She also did a recital with Lars Hannibal, and participated in the Joshua Bell "Carte Blance Concert", playing the flute part in Saint-Saëns: "Carnival of the animals".
In Verbier during the festival period, you get so much inspiration from hearing concerts with some of the finest musicians of today, also from meeting collegues from all over the world. The atmosphere is very special, and the idea of having also a full orchestra with young musicians from all over the world makes this festival unique!
More informations about the festival can be found on www.verbierfestival.com
