On Midem Festival in Cannes in January, Lars Hannibal participated as a Director for OUR Recordings. The participation was very succesful, and there was a great interest from many parts of the world for Our Recordings releases. The theme this year was China, and on the big conference held by China for the Classical Music situation in China, one of the speakers Publisher for Gramophone in China, Wang Xiang, anounced to the audience that "the way Mr.Hannibal is working with music in China is most welcome in China!" It was of course a great honour to be mentioned in that way from the official China, and aslo an appreciation of the work OUR Recordings are doing to make an musical dialogue between East and West.<br>Also the network is graduately growing for OUR Recordings, and many more people in the music business now know about our label.<br>It was a great pleasure that a Chinese artist, Chen Yue, that also records on OUR Recordings, was representing China 3 times on the Opening evening!

At a press conference at the General Society of Spanish Authors (SGAE) on Friday February 1st, the nomination was announced of Joan Albert Amargós Northern Concerto to the Grammy Award. "Movements" is an OUR Recordings release featuring contemporary recordings especially written for Michala Petri. Many specialised press were present as well as Spanish Television. Dalai Lamas 70 års fødselsdag

Den 6.juli arrangerede Tibet Charity en koncert i Radiohusets Koncertsal i anledning af H.H.Dalai Lamas 70 års fødselsdag. Overskuddet fra koncerten gik til arbejdet med undervisning af tibetanske børn i det nordlige Indien.<br>Det var en meget smuk aften hvor Dalai lama blev hyldet i ord og toner af bla. Lakha Lama,Ib Michael, Palle Mikkeborg Trio,Poul Dissing og sønner, Sanne Salomonsen og Michala og mig.

After 30 years on international labels Philips/Polygram, RCA/BMG and EMI, and more than 70 releases,Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal decided to start their own recording company. The reason of starting the new Label " Our Recordings ", is to have the full artistic and creative freedom to release any music/ projetcs they feel is important. The first CD on the new Label will be the duo CD "Siesta" with Latinamerican and Mediterenian inspired music.The release will be primo 2007.

Nominations for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards were announced today, December 6 at The Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood. From China: On Sunday December the 2th CCTV Music Channel will broadcast a 32 minutes live DVD recorded April the 1th this year at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. Togetner with Chinese Xiao player Chen Yue and guitarist Lars Hannibal, Michala plays traditional European and Chinese music.
Verbier Festival & Academy 2005

Again this year Michala was invited to participate in the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. She spend almost 2 weeks there and did 3 concerts in different connections. For the first time she played Mozart Quartet for flute and strings in D major K 285, with Janine Jansen, violin, Julian Rachlin, viola and Ralph Kirshbaum, cello.<br>She also did a recital with Lars Hannibal, and participated in the Joshua Bell "Carte Blance Concert", playing the flute part in Saint-Saëns: "Carnival of the animals".<br>In Verbier during the festival period, you get so much inspiration from hearing concerts with some of the finest musicians of today, also from meeting collegues from all over the world. "Siesta" - new CD

After their "Kreisler Inspirations" with arrangements of famous violin pieces Michala and Hannibal have now recorded a new album - this time of southern American and southern European music originally for flute and guitar. Villa-Lobos: Bachianas Brasilieras, Piazzolla: Histoire du Tango and Castelnuovo-Tedesco: Sonatina are amongst the works on this CD, which is planned for release in the late summer 2006
NEW RELEASE

Michala has after 4 years released a new CD with Vivaldi´s "The Four Seasons" and Saint-Saëns "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso".<br>Thomas Dausgaard conducts the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.<br>On this recording Michala is using the "Modern Recorder" invented by Nik Tarasov and Joachim Paetzold, produced by Mollenhauer, and the new "Ehlert Alto" designed by Ralf Ehlert and produced by Moeck. The new instruments differs from the baroque recorders in having more dynamic possibilities and a bigger range of notes.<br>( EMI Classic 3441712 )
